The racially abusive narcissist understands that race, ethnicity, and cultural identity are deeply personal and profoundly important. They understand that if they can use your racial identity to shame you, isolate you, and undermine your sense of self, they can gain power and control. They may appear progressive, open-minded, and culturally aware during the love-bombing phase. They may praise your culture, express interest in your background, or claim to be colorblind. Then they begin to weaponize your race against you.
